Horseback Riding

The perfect way to explore the 400 acres of Los Peñasquitos Canyon Preserve is from the saddle. Trail rides and professional riding lessons are available through South Coast Equestrian Center, located just five minutes away.

*Horseback riding services take place off site and are provided by an outside vendor.

48-hour advanced reservations required. Limited availability. All levels welcome. Riders must be at least 7 years old and at least 50 inches tall.

Riders of all levels are invited to learn from seasoned trainers. Lessons include riding, grooming and tacking/untacking.

Pony Rides with South Coast Equestrian

For mini-riders, Pony Rides are available to enjoy. Introduce your kids to horses with this fun and up-close experience which includes feeding the ponies.

Cost: 15-20 minutes: $45

48-hour advanced reservations required. Riders must be 2-6 years old.
