Convene Winery Dan Kosta

Dan Kosta has over 20 years of experience in the Sonoma County wine industry, specifically as THE leading producer of ultra-premium California Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. A native son of Sonoma wine country, Dan’s lifelong love of food and wine led him to a career in the restaurant industry, utilizing skills learned as a child to navigate through a series of world class restaurants as a back waiter, waiter, bartender, maître d’, operations manager and finally as wine director at the acclaimed John Ash & Company in the Russian River Valley of Sonoma County. It was there that Dan and his business partner Michael Browne founded Kosta Browne Winery in 1997. As a founder of Kosta Browne, he oversaw an unprecedented marketing program that included never before seen growth in Direct-to-Consumer sales, as well as managing a nation-wide distribution network.

Bacigalupi Vineyards Nicole Bacigalupi Dericco

Nicole Bacigalupi Dericco is General Manager of Bacigalupi Vineyards, working alongside her parents and company owners John and Pamela Bacigalupi, and twin sister Katey, in the daily operations of the family’s vineyard, wine brand, and retail tasting room.  Growing up, Nicole was inspired by her father and late grandfather Charles Bacigalupi’s hands-on efforts to develop their Russian River Valley property from barren land with a few prune trees to the collection of premium vineyards it is today.

A graduate of San Diego State University with a business degree, Nicole also earned her Court of Master Sommelier certification in 2008.  She began her wine career at a small family winery in the Dry Creek Valley.  A year later, she was offered a position at Silver Oak Cellars, working in tasting room sales, compliance, packaging, and shipping, where she spent almost four years with the company.  In 2011, upon completion of the Bacigalupi Vineyards tasting room, Nicole joined the family business.  Today, she is a driving force behind the winery’s marketing efforts.
